In IS7 it is possible to create a complete design of the room, with all the necessary elements. Once the walls are built, doors and windows can be inserted into the room.
To insert the openings, follow the procedures below:
Inserting an Opening- 2D Mode
1. To add an opening to the project, go to the Floor Plan menu and click on the Doors library.
2. In the window that opens, choose one of the various door models available in the IS7 library:
3. After choosing a door model, with the left mouse button pressed, click, drag the door to the desired wall and release the button.
That's it, door inserted! Repeat the same procedure with the windows.
Inserting an Opening - 3D Mode
1. To add an opening to the project, go to the Floor Plan menu and click on the Doors library.
2. Now, before choosing and dragging the desired door, click on the 3D button at the top of the screen.
3. With the project in 3D, after choosing a door model, with the left mouse button pressed, click, drag the door to the desired wall and release the button.
For window placement, repeat the same procedure!
Edit an Opening
After the openings are inserted, we can change some information about them.
To edit an opening, follow the procedures below:
- Changing the size of an opening with precision
1. Select the opening you want to change the measurement.
2. In the left side menu of the screen, select the indicated tool.
3. Type the desired values in the Length, Depth and Height field and press Enter.
Changing the size of an aperture without precision
1. With the project in 2D mode, select the opening you want to change the dimension.
2. In the left side menu of the screen, select the indicated tool.
3. Use the arrows positioned around the opening to increase or decrease its dimension. Pull the arrow that indicates the side you want to change.
Change door handle model
1. To change a door handle model, select the desired door and click on the indicated tool.
2. Click on the desired model and see it being automatically changed in the design.
Open and close doors
1. To open and close the openings, select the desired opening and click on the indicated tool.
2. Move the bar corresponding to the opening to open and close.
3. The buttons, Open Everything and Close All, open and close all openings present in the design.
Opening settings
1. Select the desired aperture and click on the indicated tool.
- Invert: check this option to reverse the opening side of the door.
- Door: check this option to delete the door leaf.
- Handles: check this option to exclude the door handle.
